2022 - PAPER BRICKS

From paper waste to cosy warmth!  At Lavin and Sons, we're committed to reducing our paper usage and waste. That's why we've started making paper bricks out of our used paper, which our employees can use to keep their homes warm and toasty.

2022 - BICA CYPRUS

Team Lavin took part in another charity bike ride with the Birmingham Irish Cycle appeal in October of 2022. Over 5 days of cycling, 385 miles were completed around the country. We tacked the Troodos mountains which were over 6,000 ft above sea level and together raised over £100,000 for some amazing charities and causes.

2022 - ROBBIE'S MARATHON

Robbie and his mate Christy decided to take on the challenge of running a Marathon in Liverpool. After putting in lots of hard work and determination through his training he was able to complete it. Great to see them both do this and raise some money as well, keep up the fantastic work!

2022 - ROBBIE'S GRADUATION

Following three years of dedicated study in Construction Management at Liverpool John Moores University, Robbie has successfully graduated. With his newly acquired knowledge and skills, Robbie is poised to make significant contributions and become an integral part of Lavin and Sons. Congratulations to Robbie on this remarkable achievement, and we eagerly anticipate the valuable contributions he will bring to our team.

2021 - VILLAGE CHRISTMAS TREE

After a challenging few years during the COVID-19 period, Brett wanted to give back to the community by donating the 2021 Christmas tree. Great work by everyone who helped put the tree up and made it look so great. Merry Christmas Everyone!

2019 - SCARECROW FESTIVAL

The annual scarecrow festival took place and the Lavins decided to enter. After lots of creative thinking the idea of a crowsecco bar was formed. With dedicated efforts and a unique set of scarecrows, victory was in our hands. The whole village united for a memorable celebration!

2019 - BICA WEST COAST

In the summer of 2019, the Lavin family made the inspiring decision to undertake the West Coast of Ireland challenge once more. This time, Brett's daughter, Kivah, joined the endeavour, adding her determination to the mix. With the unwavering support of their incredible wife and mother, the family embarked on this remarkable challenge, resulting in yet another incredible journey. Their collective efforts enabled them to raise thousands of pounds for charitable causes, making a positive impact along the way.

2018 - JOHN O'GROATS TO LANDS END

During the summer of 2018, Brett Lavin, together with his son Aidan and brother-in-law Ray, embarked on a formidable cycling adventure covering a distance of 1000 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End. This challenging journey was completed within 11 days, despite its immense difficulty. Along the way, Brett, Aidan, and Ray dedicated their efforts to raising funds for numerous admirable charities and causes.

2017 - BICA WEST COAST

In the Summer of 2017, Brett Lavin, alongside his sons Robert and Aidan, undertook a formidable task by cycling 600 miles along the scenic West coast of Ireland. They embarked on this challenging adventure as part of their participation in the Birmingham Irish Cycle Appeal (BICA), aiming to generate funds for multiple worthy causes and charitable organisations.
